Imagine the dreams that every child has. Imagine the dreams a parent has for their child. A diagnosis of a critical illness changes those dreams in an instant, but what if the child’s biggest dream could still come true? The Rainbow Connection is a Michigan focused 501(c)(3) organization that grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes to these children. These wishes not only distract everyone away from the illness, doctors, treatments, physical changes, etc., but gives everyone a rallying point to discuss when visiting the child, sidetracking the worries, and creating lifetime memories.

The Rainbow Connection was established in Michigan on September 11, 1985 as a wish granting organization for children diagnosed with a critical illness. Since its inception, The Rainbow Connection has granted the wishes, ranging from family vacations, to shopping sprees and even celebrity meet and greets, to more than 3,900 brave children!

A couple of our wish families had the following responses to their wish experience:
