Christian Community Action, Inc. (CCA) is an ecumenical social service organization that expresses faithful witness by providing help, housing, and hope to those who are poor in New Haven.

Our programs and services include emergency shelter apartments for families that are homeless, community resources to build stability and self-sufficiency, and emergency assistance for individuals and families in need, including a food pantry, diaper bank, and utilities assistance program.

The vision of CCA is to be a model of care that builds stability and independence. We believe that strengthening families through a two-generational approach is essential for their future success. We believe that sustainable improvement goes beyond providing the basics of food and shelter to also providing the direction and coaching necessary to build marketable skills and self-sufficiency.
CCA offers transformational change to New Haven families at risk by leveraging our strong reputation and collaborative relationships with other service providers in a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to our work. We are committed to deepening our efficacy and influence by using measurable indicators to drive our work and advocacy on behalf of those we serve.
