For more than 80 years, Samaritas has served others as an expression of the love of Christ through its many programs and services throughout Michigan. Samaritas is one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health and human services organizations in the state, providing more than 40 programs in more than 60 locations. We serve more foster children and complete more domestic adoptions than any other nonprofit in Michigan.

What We Do

• Serve children seeking families that love and support them, through family preservation, foster care and adoption.
• Create new homes and provide cultural assimilation, job training, school readiness and community support for refugees.
• Provide community programming and support services for homeless families, women exiting the prison system, and victims of human trafficking and other abuse.
• Offer care and support to those with developmental disabilities or mental illness, through group home settings and in-home caregiving.
• Create connections and provide support for seniors, in our fun, family oriented, faith-based communities with independent and assisted living, memory care and rehab.
• Provide affordable living communities for families, seniors and people with disabilities.
