More Details

L.I.F.E. Houston is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to combating infant hunger by providing emergency infant formula and nutrition support to families in crisis in the greater Houston area. It is recognized as the city’s only infant food bank focused exclusively on babies and their caregivers.

Consistent nutrition in infancy supports brain development and family stability. Studies and community needs show that food insecurity at this stage can have long-term impacts on child development.

L.I.F.E. Houston:

    •    Offers free emergency infant formula to eligible caregivers for babies from birth through 12 months.

    •    Provides various types of formula, including sensitive, milk- and soy-based, and medically prescribed formulas.

    •    Assists with about 5–7 days’ worth of formula per visit, depending on the child’s needs.
