Folds of Honor



Founded in 2007 by Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor has carried forth one singular and noble mission which is to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by educating their legacy. Since inception in 2007, the foundation has proudly awarded approximately 73,000 scholarships totaling over $290 Million in all 50 states and some US territories, including over 11,000 scholarships in 2025 alone. Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization which provides educational scholarships to the families of military men and women who have fallen or become disabled while on active duty in the United States Armed Forces or through service as a First Responder. Our educational scholarships support private educational tuition or tutoring for children in grades K-12, tuition for college, trade school, technical school, and post-graduate work, including Master’s degree, Doctorate, or professional program tuition assistance for spouses and dependents. Folds of Honor is rated a four-star charity by Charity Navigator and Platinum on Candid.
