HYPE Freedom School is excited to participate in the 2026 Birdies for Charity Campaign presented by Chevron. This holiday season, your gift can go even further to support our mission of empowering children through literacy and culturally affirming education.

When you donate through Birdies for Charity, 100% of your contribution comes directly to HYPE—and Chevron will add a 5% bonus match to every gift. That means every dollar you give brings even more books, reading experiences, and support to children who need it most.

$35 supports a literacy kit and holiday activity
$50 gifts a small group "Book Bundle"
$100 or more funds a classroom of books, supplies and activities

Mission of HYPE

The mission of HYPE Freedom School, Inc. (HYPE) is to empower people with the knowledge they need to be successful and self-sufficient. The mission is accomplished by providing equitable and just opportunities to enhance the quality of life of youth from economically disadvantaged communities and their families as well as college-age adults. HYPE assesses social and environmental conditions that may create barriers to program participation and/or quality of life and establishes communication with families to provide case management, counseling services, referrals to community resources, and other support. Through year-round literacy-based programming and positive youth development experiences that unlock pathways to upward mobility and a better quality of life, program participants are able to trust HYPE as a reliable and dependable source of support for countering barriers to social justice and racial equity.
