More Details
Windsor Historical Society invites visitors to explore the people, places, and events that have shaped Windsor, CT. Your donation helps preserve these cultural resources and supports public programs. The Society’s museum includes changing and permanent exhibition galleries; a research library and manuscript collection housing Windsor photographs, documents, ephemera, and genealogical materials, a museum shop and two historic houses open to the public -- the 1758 Strong-Howard House and the 1767 Chaffee House. Our programs, such as guided tours, lectures, and interactive workshops, are designed to demystify history for audiences for all ages and backgrounds -- from veterans photo share day to a homeschool 18th-century medicine hands-on program to a Black history lunchtime community conversation series.
