Since its humble beginnings in 1892 as a community outreach ministry located above a laundry facility on Stanford Street, SRM has become a leader in providing homeless and low-income individuals in Greater Springfield with a place of safe refuge along with services to meet their most basic needs. SRM functions as short-stay program, mobile feeding program, a full rehabilitation center and transitional living facility. We provide food, shelter, clothing, medical attention, Christian counseling, literacy training and advocacy, free of charge and funded without direct government assistance. These programs help individuals take meaningful steps toward becoming responsible and productive members of the community.
