Binky Patrol is a national nonprofit dedicated to providing comforting blankets, or "binkies," to children in need. These blankets go to critically ill and traumatized children, from newborns to 18-year-olds, offering warmth, security, and a reminder that someone cares. The Monroe/Trumbull, CT chapter has delivered over 24,000 binkies in the past 11 years, supporting local hospitals, schools, social service agencies, and communities affected by tragedies. Additionally, we donate to summer camps and hospitals during the holiday season. While most of our blankets stay in Connecticut, we recently sent 600 blankets to both Altadena, California, and Asheville, North Carolina, bringing comfort after natural disasters.

As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we rely on the generosity of volunteers who make fleece tie blankets, quilts, and knit blankets at home. We also host special Bink-A-Thons, where community members gather to create blankets in one afternoon. These events, along with ongoing volunteer efforts, are made possible through donations and sponsorships that help cover material costs. However, with the recent closing of Joann Fabrics, the cost of making blankets has risen because we have not found another fabric place with comparable prices. Your support would help us continue providing comfort to children in need, and we would be deeply grateful for any contribution, big or small.
