What you may not know about Goodwill of Western & Northern CT:

Since 1950, Goodwill has supported the power of independence through job training and support services. The revenue generated through our retail stores supports and/or funds Goodwill's Human Services programs, which aid and provide services to various people in need. These programs include: 

• Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP): Assists veterans in accessing long-term housing and obtain employment.
• Community Employment Services: Supports people with disabilities by helping them find, obtain, and maintain employment.
• Goodwill Options (GO Program): Provides individuals with disabilities with the opportunity for social and community integration.
• Residential Program: Offers safe, quality housing for individuals facing economic hardship.
• DMHAS Support Employment Program: Provides individuals recovering from substance use disorders with the support and tools needed to find, secure, and maintain employment.
• Goodwill Career Centers: Provides job seekers with free employment resources. There are six centers throughout the state staffed with professional Career Coaches ready to help people create resumes, develop skills, and advance in their careers.
• Transitional Services Work Readiness Program: Prepares people with disabilities for community employment before helping them obtain it.

We are proud of our stores and donation centers for being a resource in communities around Connecticut, but it's what they allow us to do that creates the greatest impact for the residents we serve.
