Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford empowers hard-working, low literate adults to  change their lives through literacy. Our trained volunteers provide classes in Basic Literacy, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), GED and Citizenship prep, and more.  As students meet their literacy goals, career navigators provide 1:1 assistance in resume building, job searches and applications to help them gain sustainable employment.  With each student's success, Greater Hartford's skilled workforce expands, creating a stronger, more resilient community for all of us.
