Dog Star Rescue, Connecticut's largest dog rescue, is a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs and finding them forever homes. Since our founding, we have proudly facilitated the adoption of more than 7,000 dogs, giving each a second chance at life. Operating as a foster-based, no-kill rescue, we focus on placing dogs in loving foster homes until they are adopted rather than relying on kennels. Every year, we bring approximately 800 dogs from out of state into our program, ensuring that countless animals in need find safe, caring homes.

This year is especially important as we’ve outgrown our current headquarters and are moving to a new location! With this exciting transition comes significant construction costs to create a top-notch facility that will allow us to save even more dogs. We need your support to help build our new home!
