About Connecticut Foodshare:

Connecticut Foodshare is the largest food bank serving the people of Connecticut. Last year, we provided over 44 million meals through a network of over 600 food pantries, community kitchens, meal programs, and mobile food pantries.

More than 516,000 individuals, or 1 in 7 people in our state, are experiencing food insecurity. This includes over 122,000 children who are unsure where their next meal will come from. Connecticut Foodshare is committed to providing healthy, nutritious food for our neighbors and working on long-term solutions to food insecurity.

Meet Your Neighbor:

Let us introduce you to Lucy, an inspiring 80-year-old retired school bus driver and nursing professional. After a lifetime of helping others, she now finds herself needing help. "I appreciate Connecticut Foodshare. When you get your Social Security, you have to pay your rent and your bills. Things are so expensive at the store," Lucy shares.

Every Saturday, Lucy looks forward to enjoying a community lunch at her church, where she is met with kindness and support. "When I came and met so many people, I started to feel better," Lucy shares. "When I come here, I feel lively again. It's a big help, a very, very big help!" These weekly meals and visits to our mobile food pantry have become vital to her well-being.

How You Can Help:

Together, we can create a thriving community where no one goes hungry. For every $1 you give, we can provide up to 2 meals. Will you join us?
