More Details

Partnership for Strong Communities promotes equitable change in Connecticut housing policy by coordinating advocacy, advancing research, and uniting diverse partners. Our vision is that everyone in Connecticut has a safe, stable home, that is affordable to them, in an equitable community of their choice.  We believe affordable housing is a fundamental human right. We aspire to be at the forefront of transformative housing policy, working with and in the service of communities that have been historically excluded from opportunity. Since its founding in 1998, the Partnership has successfully advocated for more than $2.7 billion in public funding in Connecticut which has helped build homes and created programs to end chronic homelessness. We have engaged civic and elected leaders to imagine, plan and execute effective change and to create a new paradigm of thinking about housing.
