ABOUT US

The Outreach Center of West Houston was incorporated in 1996 as an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the goal of providing the community with a dynamic facility offering an array of programs and services through which individuals and families can restore purpose and productivity to their lives, learn new skills, develop healthy relationships and experience positive mental, physical, spiritual and emotional growth.

Now, The Outreach Center of West Houston houses twelve nonprofits and service organizations and is staffed by an Executive Director and a Director of Communications and Events. An independent board of directors helps to facilitate the great work being done here. The building remains a point of connection for many to discovering hope, healing, and answers to their basic needs.

WHAT WE DO

We aim to improve lives, create stronger communities, and build better futures. In order to do so, we partner with organizations that meet basic community needs. These partner organizations use our facility as a hub for their work, becoming part-time or full-time tenants. Our pricing structure is set below market value, enabling partner organizations to focus on their specific mission just that much more.

Because we only have so much space at present, we also partner with organizations off site in order to carry on our full mission. When someone stops by or calls needing a service we do not have in the building, we are able to refer them to most applicable programs.

For a full list of on and off site partner resources, click here.

In addition to partnerships, we host a handful of community events, from blood drives to art markets. For a full list of events, click here.

Long-term, we are in the process of developing a capital campaign to expand our building, which would allow more nonprofits and service organizations to find a space here. As time will tell, our longer term projects include opening more locations with offerings specific to those locations.

OUR VISION

is a world where everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.

OUR MISSION

is to connect people with the resources they need to improve their lives, create stronger communities, and build better futures.
