The Texas Golf Hall of Fame serves as the heart of golf in Texas, preserving the rich history and legacy of the
game while celebrating the achievements of legendary players, dedicated contributors, and historic courses. We
have six categories, induct every other year, and follow strict guidelines the first being a nominee must be 40 years
of age, unless deceased, and has lived in Texas a minimum of 10 consecutive years while accomplishing his/her
feats in the respective category.
We have one full-time staff member and a volunteer board of 24 individuals. We have six allied associations
represented on our board including the Alamo City Golf Trail, Lone Star CMAA, Lone Star GCSA, Texas Golf
Association, Northern Texas PGA, and Southern Texas PGA. Currently, three Texas Golf Hall of Fame Members
serve on the board including Mike Booker, Gordon Johnson, and Blaine McCallister. We have 100% board
participation in annual contributions, and we started an Endowment in the fall of 2024 to ensure sustainability.
As the bespoke institution for Texas golf, we bring together all allied associations to safeguard the sport’s heritage
and promote its values statewide. With our two physical sites—the historic Walk of Fame at Brackenridge Park in
San Antonio and our new anchor site at The Ronny Golf Park in Frisco, as well as a state-of-the-art digital museum,
we make Texas' golf history accessible to all. Through these platforms, we honor the past, celebrate the present,
and inspire future generations of junior golfers across Texas. The Texas Golf Hall of Fame is committed to ensuring
that the stories, traditions, and impact of Texas golf continue to inspire and connect Texans now and for
generations to come.
