East Haddam Land Trust preserves and protects land in perpetuity for the public benefit.
East Haddam Land Trust creates community by acquiring land, educating the public, and hosting events. Our 12 member volunteer board and our very active members work to sustain EHLT and its mission. A recently hired part time Executive Director is a step towards professionalizing so that operations will be sustained into the future. Our growing membership base of 350+ households helps to fund our operations through yearly membership donations. We have created healthy partnerships with DEEP, Connecticut Land Conservation Council, Connecticut Outdoor Recreation Alliance, and a host of local businesses and other nonprofits. We were established in 1979.
