The mission of the MSOC is to promote the performance of quality orchestral and choral music, enhance the enjoyment and enrichment of its members and audiences, and serve as an educational force for young musicians and singers in the Town of Manchester and the surrounding areas.
MSOC consists of a full symphony orchestra and a chorale, all of whom are volunteers. MSOC has contracts with the orchestra music director, the chorale music director, a chorale accompanist and a concert master in the orchestra. MSOC performs a variety of types of music at 5 concerts a season in venues in Manchester. MSOC has a Board of Directors made up of orchestra and chorale members as well as members from the community.
