Rosemary Malin founded Shag Bark 50 years ago. Her daughter Katie Malin-Hunt teaches lessons at their farm in East Windsor, CT.

Shag Bark offers weekly lessons. A Preschool program for students ages 2-5 meets in the spring and fall. We offer Homeschool programs and equine therapy for intellectually disabled adults and those struggling with mental health.  

Shag Bark Hickory Farm is a nonprofit organization. We are able to provide a scholarship program for families in need and a safe haven for our semi retired horses.
