The East Hartford Summer Youth Festival, Inc. was created in 1964 to provide an opportunity for young people to develop and showcase their talents and to participate in producing a full-scale musical, literally “learning the ropes” from singing and dancing to lighting and set construction. Invaluable skills such as teamwork and performing for an audience are instilled, lifelong friendships are made, and musical fun is had by all, especially our audiences.
