Our Mission is to…SUPPORT all people with mental illnesses including children, and their friends and families. EDUCATE and inform people with mental illnesses and their families about services and treatment available in the community. ELIMINATE STIGMA by developing public understanding of the challenges of living with a serious mental illness. ADVOCATE for better services and treatments, protection of rights and research.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit grassroots organization working at the national, state and local community levels to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their families.

NAMI Farmington Valley, CT an affiliate of NAMI and NAMI-CT, was founded in June 2004, to respond to the mental health needs of the greater Farmington Valley community. We now provide Education, Support and Advocacy to 21 communities, encompassing towns from Granby out to Burlington down to Southington through West Hartford and back up to Windsor Locks.
