Warm the Children – a Kiwanis Foundation of Middletown Program

The Kiwanis Foundation is the charitable arm of the Kiwanis Club of Middletown. Kiwanis Clubs focus on changing the world by serving children, one child and one community at a time. In Middletown this is achieved through direct community service and through fundraising efforts which provide disbursements that support local youth. The Warm The Children clothing initiative is the largest Club sponsored program providing winter attire for upper Middlesex County children in need. Funding also supports various other children's programs and projects.

More Details

The Warm The Children program  helps to fill a basic need by providing up to $90 worth of new winter clothing and footwear (up to $70 for those under age 4) to underprivileged children ages birth to 12 from upper Middlesex County.

In the 2023-2024 season $40,248 was spent as 472 children from 245 families were able to shop for new winter attire. The program is all volunteer and all the donation money received is spent on new clothing and footwear for those in need. Any incidental expenses are covered by the Kiwanis Club through their various fundraisers.
