More Details

The Malta House of Care Clinic of Greater Hartford is a 16-year-old, independent non-profit that is supported 100% by philanthropy. Founded by a commitment of service to the sick and the poor, Malta provides access to critical primary health care at no cost to uninsured adults in three challenged Hartford-area neighborhoods each week on a fixed schedule. In September 2022, we opened a new state-of-the-art clinic in the Asylum Hill neighborhood and our 40-foot mobile clinic visits East Hartford and the south end of Hartford each once a week. We provide comprehensive physicals; on-site blood, urine, and other testing; referrals for radiology and additional lab testing; vaccinations; medication; and health coaching as well as COVID testing and vaccinations. Since our founding in 2006, we have provided over 75,000 free patient visits, thanks to service provided by about 50 medical volunteers and a small paid medical staff.
