Port-au-Prince Project

Current State: Partnering with Dr. Wilkens, local Haitian surgeon and medical director, and the all-Haitian medical staff at Hôpital Bellevue-La-Montagne, a community hospital, and  Centre Medico-Chirurgical du Quartier (HBLM / CMCQ), a neighborhood clinic operation, health care, including OB/GYN, pediatrics, general surgery, ophthalmology, dental, ultrasound imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services, is provided 24 / 7.

2022 GOAL:  Continued support of primary healthcare, surgical and specialty services, with goal to improve pediatrics and neonatal care, and imaging services.

Mission Trips --

Current State:  Mission teams of US medical and non-medical professionals, along with inclusion of additional Haitian medical professionals, visit each location up to 4 times a year.   Additional surgical and specialty services (oncology, urology, ophthalmology, dental, etc.), and collaborative training are conducted.  At this time, concerns for team safety is preventing travel, but the hospital and clinics remain open with Haitians healing Haitians.
