The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford is the founding Boys & Girls Club in the country, serving Hartford youth and surrounding suburbs since 1860. Our goal is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Since 2016, Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford has grown from three clubhouses to five clubhouses and five school-based sites strategically located throughout Hartford, Bloomfield and Windsor, expanding our service area. 

As we inch closer to our 165th Anniversary of serving the youth of Hartford, Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford has successfully emerged from the pandemic with more programs addressing six key pillars: Academic Success, Character & Leadership, STEAM, Health & Wellness, Workforce Readiness, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion.

THE IMPACT OF THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF HARTFORD

We serve 5,000 children ages 3 to 18 years old and will grow to 10,000 youth. We turn no child away, charging a $10 annual membership for access to after school and summer camp programs.

For the first time in history, the next generation of kids will be left with fewer opportunities than the one before. As champions for all youth, Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford is doing everything in our power to change this trajectory.
