Shepherds' mission is to close the educational opportunity gap for underserved, at risk Connecticut high school age young people by providing the financial resources to attend a private college preparatory high school in their local community, a program of academic and life skills workshops and experiences, and a caring and dedicated adult mentor to provide guidance and support through their four years of high school.

Founded in 1998, serving high school aged students in the Bridgeport and New Haven area communities with the goal of these students successfully graduating from high school and having the opportunity to attend an institution of higher learning. Over the last eight years 95% - 98% of Shepherds students have graduated from high school within four-years compared to 65% - 75% at local public schools.  Currently serving 64 high school aged students in two partner schools. Shepherds seeks donations to support a growing population of young people challenged by academic and social deficiencies in the post COVID era.
