More Details

For over 50 years, Hockanum Valley Community Council (HVCC) has been serving communities in Tolland, Windham and Hartford counties. Our mission is to provide services to individuals and families in a manner which will promote independence while ensuring basic needs are met, regardless of ability to pay. To accomplish this mission, HVCC provides three major programs: Basic Needs, Dial-a-Ride Transportation, and Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment. The Basic Needs program consists of case management services, community workshops, and an emergency food pantry. Dial-a-Ride provides transportation targeted at homebound elderly and disabled individuals. Our largest program is the Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Clinic. Services include individual, group, family and psychiatric treatments provided by a team of Psychiatrists, licensed and master’s level social workers, and substance abuse counselors.
