Acts 4 Ministry (Acts 4) is inspiring acts of love by sharing the love of God in action - providing for those in need. We are a non-denominational, tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the needs of families and individuals in financial distress through the collection and distribution of new and gently used basic needs such as furniture, clothing, and housewares.
Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. (Acts 4) assists individuals and families who have suddenly found themselves in a state of transition through the loss of a job, home or other unexpected devastation or upsetting life event. These individuals and families are invited to visit Acts 4's boutique shop to personally select, FREE OF CHARGE, items such as clothing, pots/pans/dishes, personal hygiene, furnishings, and items to meet other basic needs.
In 2002, our founder started Acts 4 in the attic of her home by collecting and distributing school uniforms for Waterbury school age children. Now 23 years later, the mission to share God's love while providing for those in need continues on strongly. The individuals who participate are dedicated to building relationships with each person they serve while lovingly sharing products to assist with the basics of daily living.
“Our guests are provided with an atmosphere which preserves their dignity and allows them to walk around our boutique to select what they personally need vs. being handed clothing or housewares they do not desire. This is a respectful environment where everyone is treated with caring support,” explained Sarah E. DiMeo-Carabetta, Executive Director.
