Since 1977, InterCommunity Health Care has been changing the meaning of care. Our staff, Board of Directors, donors, and sponsors share a vision with us—  collectively, we believe that everyone is deserving of quality, compassionate health care, regardless of their ability to pay for it. As an FQHC LA (Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike), InterCommunity offers comprehensive primary care, mental health care, and addiction recovery services in the Greater Hartford area. We believe in whole-person health care and are committed to community-based treatment and the importance of prevention and education, all grounded in a strong belief in recovery.

From 2020 to 2021, InterCommunity provided:

  • 54,654 behavioral health services
  • 9,661 primary care services
  • 20,654 residential recovery services
  • 4,059 school-based health center services
  • 29,627 telehealth visits
  • 5,289 COVID vaccines
  • 11,898 COVID test
