Our mission is to make a difference locally in the fight against breast cancer through education and research.

The Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, Inc. is a state-wide non-profit organization making a significant impact in the quest to find a cure for breast cancer by providing grants to support education and research in Connecticut.   Founded in 2005, it has been our goal to find answers in our lifetime.

100% of the money raised by CT BHI stays in CT

To date, CT BHI has awarded $4.3 million to fund important breast cancer research and education projects in Connecticut. We strive each year to surpass this milestone with the help of our supporters, sponsors, and fundraising efforts.

CT RACE IN THE PARK, Saturday, May 13th, 2023

The RACE takes place every year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. Every year, thousands join the RACE Day events in New Britain’s Walnut Hill Park. It’s a family tradition and a celebration of life.

Over its 20 years the tournament has awarded $4.3 million for breast cancer research and education..

We also receive donations from individuals who believe in our mission and support this work financially and with generous volunteer time.

Make a difference – right here at home!

One in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Over 211,000 new breast cancer cases will be diagnosed each year in the United States. Approximately 40,000 women are expected to die from breast cancer each year. Despite this, there are more than two million breast cancer survivors in the US today!

Help us find a cure!
