Along with our vocational mission, The Gardens at Drew focuses on providing the surrounding Detroit community with access to healthy, locally-grown produce through our in-school farm stand, donations, to local food pantries, and sales at Detroit’s Eastern Market, our nation’s oldest and largest food hub. It is our goal of becoming a crucial part of the movement to improve the city’s food security through access to the heist quality of healthy produce. The Gardens at Drew is a choice producer of the finest organic produce as evidenced by collaboration with chefs of Detroit’s finest Farm to Table restaurants, hospital culinary programs and organizations seeking to source healthy, local produce.
