More Details

The Boys & Girls Club of Milford is an after school program for youth in Milford between the ages of 5 and 18. Our after school program provides academic enrichment and recreational activities to help young people improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during critical periods of growth through our five core program areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.  Programming is available during critical times of the day when youth might be home by themselves or otherwise unsupervised with the possibility of being exposed to at risk behaviors.  Young people from throughout the City of Milford can attend the Club from 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., on days in which they are participating in person learning. On days in which students are participating in full virtual learning we are open from 8:30am- 4:30pm.

The Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors and Staff have worked hard to offer and expand programming as much as possible. Our goal is to help families with all of their childcare needs. Allowing them to rebuild their lives and our community. We have collaborated with both local and state officials to ensure our programming, policies, and procedures meet all necessary health and safety guidelines.

The Boys & Girls Club of Milford is part of a nationwide affiliation of local, autonomous organizations that work to help young people of all backgrounds develop the qualities they need to become responsible citizens and leaders. It is facility-based, employs 36 part time staff members, 4 full time, and is supplemented by hundreds of volunteers.

Today, over 3500 boys and girls in Milford have taken advantage of the programs, activities and services provided by the Boys & Girls Club of Milford. They benefit from trained, caring, professional staff and volunteers who help young people take control of their lives, envision productive futures, and achieve their goals.
