More Details

Services for the Elderly is a Nonprofit, 501(c)3 Organization separate from the Town of Farmington. We were established in 1965 by two Farmington women, Hope Emery and Dorothy Sinclair, who saw the need to help seniors in the community. The organization is designed to complement the wonderful programs provided by the Town of Farmington. Our programs are designed to help our fellow citizens remain connected to the community while remaining at home. Through our over 120 volunteers and our 2 dedicated staff we provide such services as Meals on Wheels, twice weekly Congregate Meals at the Senior Center, Friendly shopping, Medical Transportation, A “Forget Me Not Program” and a Medical Equipment Program that makes medical equipment available to anyone in Connecticut regardless of age.
